Movie Quiz: I haven’t done one of these since the Mesozoic Era.
1. Name a movie that you have seen more than 10 times: Devil Wears Prada (Um, no duh.), Death Becomes Her, Mamma Mia!
2. Name a movie that you’ve seen multiple times in a theater: My Super Ex-Girlfriend, Paranormal Activity.
3. Name an actor that would make you more inclined to see a movie: Meryl to the Streep!
4. Name an actor that would make you less likely to see a movie: Megan Fox. Yes. Because I will watch a movie more likely with someone. They will either annoy me with their side talk with how hot she is, or with their side talk of how much they hate her for being so hot and making the guys ruin the movie. All I’d be thinking is for them to shut the fuck up.
5. Name a movie that you can quote from: _clears throat. “This.. stuff? Oh, okay, I see. You think this has nothing to do with you. You go to your closet, and you select out, oh I don’t know. That lumpy blue sweater for instance because you’re trying to tell the world you take yourself too seriously to care about what you put on your back. (skipping to the end, way too long for this little survey.) And it’s sort of comical how you think you’ve made a choice that exempts you from the fashion industry, when in fact, you’re wearing a sweater that was selected for you by the people in this room. From a pile of stuff.” - Devil Wears Prada, Miranda fucking Priestly. She be my home girl.
6. Name a movie musical that you know all the lyrics to all the songs: Mamma Mia! and Hairspray.
7. Name a movie that you have been known to sing along with: Death Becomes Her, and Mamma Mia!
8. Name a movie that you would recommend everyone see: Bridges of Madison County, because it can make you cry like you never have. Really. After the movie played in the middle of the night, I shook my mom awake and told her the whole story incoherently.. all she did was laugh while I uncontrollably bawled. I just love my mother.
9. Name a movie that you own: Do you seriously want me to pick? I have a shelf for Meryl Streep, one for Nicole Kidman, one for Uma Thurman, and one for Michelle Pfeiffer. Let’s just say that.
10. Name an actor that launched his/her entertainment career in another medium but who has surprised you with his/her acting chops: Um.. Beyonce. I find her quite good. Plus, she’s the only person to come to mind at the moment.
11. Have you ever seen a movie in a drive-in?: Wish I could!
12. Ever made out in a movie?: Hell naw. I often held grudges against the people who made out in the movies. Their moving heads would just piss me off.
13. Name a movie that you keep meaning to see but just haven’t gotten around to it: Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.
14. Ever walked out of a movie?: THIS close with Inglorious Basterds. It was probably because a quarter of the way through the movie, the sound went all echo-like.. like when your pull your earphones halfway out of your iPod, and it just sounds retarded.
15. Name a movie that made you cry in the theater: August Rush.
16. Popcorn?: Refills are my best friend.
17. How often do you go to the movies?: When I can. Scene card in hand!
18. What’s the last movie you saw in the theater?: Uh, Paranormal Activity. We got free tickets out of it since it shut off at one point.
19. What is your favorite/preferred genre of movie?: I’m for anything to get an audience going. Comedy, Love, Drama. And those kinds of horror / scary movies where you can hear people in the back go: “Oh fuck no!” I hate predictable, cheesy scary movies.
20. What was the first movie you remember seeing in the theater?: Mean Girls. With MJ. Her mom made us try popcorn and peanut M&M’s. I’ve loved them ever since.
